Saving St Just Miners’ Chapel

What is it Being Saved From?

Being Boarded Up!

Boarded up window at the Miners' Chapel

Why?

Because the present congregation is too small to support and maintain it.

What Happened?

It was announced that the Chapel would close at the end of August 2017

A Steering Group was established to explore different uses for the building.

They appointed a voluntary project manager to make it happen and agreed to preserve the Chapel as a place of worship and a community centre for the benefit of the public providing it has long term funding.

The positive world-wide response to this news gave the Church Council the confidence to keep the building open.

IT IS NOW UP TO US TO KEEP THOSE DOORS OPEN
